About Rubellite:

Rubellite is a saturated dark pink to red colored Tourmaline and is highly prized.

Trace amounts of manganese create rubellite's natural berry color.

Rubellite is also known as Red Tourmaline, but not all Red Tourmaline stones are called Rubellite. Only the most vivid and most saturated stones get this name. Other shades of lighter pink are more classified as pink tourmaline.

Rubellites have a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. To clean, use a soft brush, warm water and mild detergent. (Source: https://www.gemsociety.org/)
